This page explains what happens to the information you send me through this website. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Who is responsible
Clement Learning is run by Samira, an assistant headteacher tutoring independently. I am the data controller for everything described here. You can reach me at [email protected].
What I collect
Only what you choose to send me:
- The enquiry form — your name, your email address, your phone number if you give one, your child's year group, and whatever you write in the message box.
- Email and WhatsApp — whatever you write, and the address or number you write from.
There is no account to create, no newsletter, and no tracking. I do not buy contact details or collect them from anywhere else.
Why I hold it, and on what basis
To reply to you and, if you go ahead, to arrange and run your child's lessons. Where we are arranging tuition, the lawful basis is that the processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and then to perform it. For a general question that goes no further, the basis is my legitimate interest in answering people who contact me.
About your child's information
The form asks for a year group and invites you to tell me what your child needs help with. Please send only what is useful for that. I do not ask for, and do not need, medical information, SEN diagnoses, school reports or anything else sensitive in order to answer an enquiry. If any of it becomes relevant once lessons start, we will talk about it directly.
You, the parent or carer, provide this information. I do not collect information from children through this website.
Who else handles it
- SplitForms receives and stores form submissions and emails them to me. They in turn use Vercel, Supabase and Amazon SES. On the plan this site uses, submissions are automatically deleted after 30 days.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and forwards mail sent to [email protected] to my personal inbox.
- Google provides that inbox.
- Meta handles anything you send me on WhatsApp, under their own terms.
Nobody else. I do not sell your information, share it with other tutors or agencies, or use it for advertising. There is no advertising on this site.
How long I keep it
Form submissions are deleted from SplitForms automatically after 30 days. Emails and WhatsApp messages I keep while there is a reason to — an ongoing enquiry, or a child I am teaching — and then delete them. If you ask me to delete something sooner, I will.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies. It has no analytics, no advertising trackers, and no social media pixels. It loads nothing from anyone else's servers — even the fonts are served from this domain. Nothing is stored on your device, which is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
Your rights
You can ask me for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to my holding it at all. Email [email protected] and I will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
